The health benefits of walnuts

      The modern way of living needs some changes in habits in favor of health life. People should change their habits of taking unhealthy snacks which are without any nutritional value. The kitchen of nature offers better and healthier snacks. This time on the menu are the walnuts.

      The walnuts are great source of proteins and fiber. They are, also, good source of vitamin E which has antioxidant properties. Next, the walnuts contain amino acid which offers different vascular benefits for people with heart diseases but, also, to them with increased risk of heart diseases. 

     Some researches have shown that the walnuts decrease the risk of prostate cancer and the risk of breast cancer. Taking two handfuls walnuts a day decreases the risk of breast cancer by half. 

     The walnuts contain neuro protective elements including vitamin E, folate, melatonin, omega-3 fats and antioxidant. Researches have shown that consuming walnuts improves brain health. 

      In nowadays, there is an increased use of walnut’s oil. It is produced from dried and cold pressed walnuts. This oil is rich source of antioxidant but, also, of magnesium and copper. 35g. walnut’s oil contains the same nutritive values as 50g. walnuts. Is not recommended for cooking.
